2025 ABC Kids Expo: New Car Seats on the Horizon
Kecia and I just attended the ABC Kids Expo trade show in Las Vegas and saw the latest and greatest in baby and kids gear for 2025. It’s a chance to meet with old friends, make new ones, and find products that we think will make your life easier. This year we were blown away by some new car seats we think are gamechangers. Every manufacturer had something great to offer, but before we dive into the fun, we have a shameless beg of you. We have linked all of our videos here to our YouTube channel. If you kindly would, please subscribe ☺️. We’re in the process of adding a lot of videos we think you’ll find helpful; after all, we have all these years of expertise to share!

One thing to mention about the Up: in speaking to Daniel, the Safety and Compliance Manager, about gaps allowed behind the booster, he mentioned that they require the vehicle head restraint to be present at all times. A gap is allowed behind the booster, but the vehicle head restraint is an important source of support for it, even though it has a steel frame.
Chicco
Chicco had several new and updated seats at the show.
Graco/Baby Jogger
Graco had some of their current lineup of FMVSS 213a side impact standard compliant (what a mouthful!) car seats on display. We confirmed that favorites like the original Extend2Fit convertible, Contender Slim, and 4Ever DLX Grad are still being produced and will be showing back up on the website soon. There’s been a lot of movement on Graco’s (and all manufacturers’ websites, for that matter) lately and it has to do with the new side impact regulation going into effect at the end of June. Things should be calming down soon.
GoMax Infant Seat
We saw the new GoMax infant seat and played with it and amazingly between the two of us, didn’t get one pic 🤷♀️. So here’s a photo from their website.

Flex 120
Belt-positioning booster
Some good news for those of you needing an armless booster! Our contact at Peg confirmed for us that they do indeed allow the Flex 120 to have a gap behind the booster when it is used with a vehicle head restraint that is angled forward. As a matter of fact, their demo seat showed the exact problem.
The HBB 120 (discontinued) is a different booster that does require full vehicle seat and head support.

City Loop Stroller
The City Loop stroller is a fantastic, versatile stroller. It’s small and lightweight on its own, can be paired as a travel system with any of Peg’s infant seats (works really well with the baseless Urban Mobility), and takes a bassinet or toddler seat. It can be connected to another City Loop with a $50 Duo Adapter to make a double stroller.
