Doona X vs Doona+ Comparison
The long-anticipated Doona X is finally launching this summer in the USA, and we were eager to check it out at the 2026 ABC Expo. Here are some preliminary details about the American Doona X model and how it compares with the current Doona+ model.

The Doona+ model will continue to be available, at least for now.
The Doona X has many upgrades over the current + model. One of the nicest improvements is a nearly flat recline feature in stroller mode. This feature is ONLY an option in stroller mode and cannot be used in the vehicle.

Overall, we were very impressed with the improvements and updated features on the Doona X. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We can’t comment on the installation until we have the opportunity to put this seat through its paces, but the X base is a big improvement over the original base. We anticipate that the installation with the new base will be quick and secure, thanks to its rigid LATCH connectors and load leg.
