Evenflo Recalls Certain Revolve180 LiteMax NXT Infant Car Seats
Today, Evenflo announced a voluntary recall of certain older LiteMax NXT Infant Car Seats with rotating bases sold in the U.S.
Revolve180 LiteMax NXT models manufactured before April 1, 2025, have been recalled due to issues associated with the recline angle indicator on the base. In this case, the base is the issue; the car seat carrier that you strap the baby into is not the problem.
Evenflo Revolve180 LiteMax NXT Rotating Infant Car Seat with incorrect recline angle indicator
The LiteMax NXT infant car seat was, and still is, available with 2 different types of bases. There is a rotating base (pictured above) that allows you to swivel the car seat to the side. There is also a stationary (non-rotating) LiteMax NXT base. The stationary bases look different and are NOT included in this recall. Only the LiteMax NXT models with revolving bases are potentially affected, depending on when they were made. Rotating bases manufactured after April 1, 2025 have updated angle indicators and are NOT recalled.
The Issue
Testing found that certain Revolve180 LiteMax NXT infant car seats from the model's initial production, manufactured before April 1, 2025, did not meet certain federal performance requirements due to a calibration issue with the level indicator. This calibration issue allowed a child to be positioned more upright than intended when the carrier was attached to the base.
Essentially, the recline angle indicator on the base showed green (acceptable recline angle) in the window when it should have shown red at a certain angle. This issue was corrected on all Revolve180 LiteMax NXT infant car seats made after 4/1/2025.
No injuries have been reported, but Evenflo is voluntarily recalling the affected products and will provide consumers with a free repair kit as soon as it’s available.
Determining if Your LiteMax NXT Is Affected by This Recall
If you own a LiteMax NXT model with the “Revolve180” rotating base, your first step is to locate the sticker label on the base, which states the model number and the date your product was made.
The recalled car seat bases were also part of select Evenflo stroller travel systems. Shyft Intuiti, Shyft Intuiti+, and Omni travel systems manufactured before April 1, 2025 may be affected. Again, only the car seat base is the issue. The stroller and car seat carrier are not the problem.
Locate the sticker label on the revolving base
There is also a corresponding sticker label on the back of the infant car seat. If the car seat and base came together in the box, both manufacturer dates should be the same. However, if you own extra rotating LiteMax NXT base(s) that were purchased separately, check the labels on each base.
As a reminder, the carrier that you strap your baby into is not the issue here. We’re just pointing out that there is a corresponding sticker label on the back of the carrier that you can check to save yourself a trip outside to your vehicle.
Only Older Rotating Litemax NXT Models Are Affected
If the date listed on the sticker label is after April 1, 2025, your model is NOT recalled.
However, if the date of manufacture is on or before 2025 / 3 / 31 (year/month/day), and your model number is listed below, then your base is part of the recalled batch.

Regardless of whether your product is on this list or not, make sure your Evenflo car seat is registered with the manufacturer. https://registration.evenflo.com/evenflo/us/carseats
Registered owners of recalled LiteMax NXT bases will be notified once a recall fix kit is available.
What to Do in the Meantime if Your Seat Is Recalled
You have several options to safely continue using your recalled seat until the fix kit arrives. These options include:
Use the rotating base with its compatible load leg. If your model didn’t come with the load leg, you can purchase one separately. Yes, it’s an extra expense, but adding a load leg to your LiteMax NXT base will improve protection. Honestly, it’s worth the additional expense even if your LiteMax NXT model is newer and not affected by the recall. Load legs are beneficial energy-management features, and we highly recommend purchasing the load leg accessory separately if your model didn’t come with one.
If you own an extra stationary (non-rotating) LiteMax NXT base, use that one instead in the meantime
Install the car seat without the base. I realize not everyone is comfortable installing the carrier without a base (it’s become a lost art), but if you understand how to do this, and you’re comfortable with it, it’s an option. Evenflo has a video demonstrating how to install the LiteMax NXT carrier without the base here.
Install the car seat with its current (recalled) rotating base using a slightly adjusted recline angle. Contact Evenflo’s Customer Service ParentLink® team for specific guidance.
The Recall “Fix”
Evenflo will provide affected consumers with a free repair kit as soon as possible. In the meantime, please register your car seat at registration.evenflo.com/evenflo/us/Carseats so they can notify you when the repair kit becomes available and provide instructions for receiving it.
